Concentrated solar power (CSP)
This technology uses mirrors (heliostats) to track the sun and focus its rays on a central tower. The resulting intense heat heats a fluid to generate steam. This steam drives turbines to produce electricity, a clean method that doesn’t require burning fossil fuels.

Simply put, photovoltaic solar panels (the same type that are placed on roofs or in fields) are installed on floating structures on the surface of bodies of water such as lakes, reservoirs, water treatment plants, and canals.
